This study aims to identify the challenges in the use of Information Technology (IT) in Christian Religious Education (CRE) learning at theological schools and to offer solutions to overcome these challenges. With the rapid development of IT, theological schools are increasingly required to adopt technology as part of educational innovation. However, the integration of IT in CRE learning at theological institutions often encounters various obstacles, including limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among lecturers and students, and a lack of relevant and high-quality digital learning materials. In addition, ethical and theological challenges must also be addressed, such as ensuring that the use of technology remains consistent with Christian values and does not lead to the misuse of information or exposure to inappropriate content. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study conducted in several theological schools in Indonesia. The findings indicate that, despite facing multiple barriers, some theological institutions have made efforts to overcome these issues through infrastructure improvement, digital literacy training for lecturers and students, and the development of curricula integrated with IT. The study’s recommendations include enhancing IT competencies among educators and learners, developing innovative digital learning materials, and providing adequate infrastructure to support technology-based Christian Religious Education learning.
